Reception Showcase: Early Literacy and Language

*Please note that due to a limited number of places, only two people can attend from each school. 

During the Open Mornings, you will have the opportunity to:

• observe high quality early literacy and language provision in Reception;
• see provision designed to support early language and literacy development;
• observe how talk, language and vocabulary are developed through play and purposeful interactions;
• see how a love of stories and Reading for Pleasure is fostered from the earliest age;
• look at the learning environment and organisation of resources in Reception;
• hear how the school supports early literacy and language across the day;
• talk to children and Reception practitioners;
• hear from the school’s Early Years Lead and leadership;
• speak to our English Hub Lead and ask any questions.
