Role of the Phonics Leader

Aimed at Phonics Leaders

This training session will provide Phonics Leaders with the opportunity to:

• find out about the aims of the DfE English Hub and intended impact;

• explore how to effectively carry out your role as Phonics Leader;

• explore ways to effectively monitor phonics lessons and analyse data;

• explore effective assessment processes to maximise progress;

• explore effective ways to provide CPD for phonics teachers to build an ‘expert team of Phonics Teachers’;

• receive support and guidance from a DfE trained Literacy Specialist;

• collaborate with other Phonics Leaders;

• reflect upon your own practice as Phonics Leader and identify next steps.
