Talk Through Stories

Aimed at:

Reception and Year 1 teachers who are using the Talk Through Stories resources. Teachers with pupils who don't come from a language-rich home find this training particularly useful.

• gives you confidence by showing how the programme matches the speech and vocabulary requirements in the DfE Reading Framework;
• models great practice throughout - how to prepare and bring a story to life and how to use talk to develop children's understanding of new vocabulary;
• provides plenty of opportunity to practise and share experiences with others, along with expert coaching for immediate impact;
• supports with classroom management routines so every child feels secure and can concentrate on the activities;
• shares a variety of timetabling options, including how to create your own timetable and customise plans to bring your creativity to the programme.
