What you need to know

**This is a hands-on practical training where you will conduct the searches yourself **

Target Audience:
Aimed at all all healthcare staff (doctors, nurses, midwives, AHPs, scientific and technical, etc) who work at or affiliated with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust ONLY. 

Important requirement:
You would already have the basic knowledge in designing search strategy, and  have experience using NHS Knowledge & Library Hub, BMJ Best Practice, Trip, MAG Online Library, etc. If you don't please attend the Searching for evidence-based resources training' first.

Contents:

  • Quick recap of planning and designing an effective search strategy
  • Know the difference between literature review vs systematic review
  • Searching advanced medical databases e.g. MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, COCHRANE, etc,
  • Locating, accessing or requesting full text articles from the library services 

Format: In-person face-to-face.

Duration: 90 minutes

Location: Library Training Room, Education Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. The training room is limited to 5 spaces only so booking is based on first come first serve basis.
