What you need to know

Who is this for?

Open to all Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust staff ONLY. 
HS staff who require support in finding journal articles, books/ebooks, reports, guidances, policies and other grey literatures in non-clinical topics (e.g. leadership, management, coaching, mentoring, project management, well-being, etc.)

Aims: 

  • To help you access high-quality resources to quickly support your work in service improvement, writing assignment for CPD or to support your well-being.
  • To help build an effective search strategy (using phrasing, truncation and keywords) to find relevant literatures,

  • Koha Library Catalogue (print/online books)
  • NHS Knowledge & Library Hub (All-in one platform to search for articles, books or databases)
  • Health Business Elite (covers health care management and other, non-clinical topics)
  • BrowZine Journal 
  • Oxford Academic Books
  • Kortex ebooks 
  • TripPro
  • HMIC Database/King's Fund Database - includes official publications, health service policy, management, NHS organisation and administration, the quality of health services (including hospitals, nursing, primary care and public health), occupational health; control and regulation of medicines, social care, etc.

Preparatory task

An OpenAthens login will be necessary for hands-on element. To register for an account go to: https://openathens.nice.org.uk/ We recommend registering at least two days prior to the workshop.

Delivery 
This one hour session will be delivered online on MS Teams.
