You'll learn how to navigate these tools efficiently and use them to find high quality evidence-based articles, ebooks, databases, guidelines etc to support your work in patient care, service improvements, teaching, clinical audit or CPD. Whether you're a newly qualified doctor or a seasoned professional, this course is designed for anyone looking to enhance their research abilities. Contents:

• Planning and designing an effective search strategy
• Effective use of search techniques e.g. phrase searching, truncation 
• Finding healthcare literature using the NHS Knowledge  and Library Hub platform
• Identifying specialist resources e.g. BMJ Best Practice (clinical decision tool), TRIP database, BrowZine Journal, Oxford Medicine Online, Kortex, etc.)
• Subscription to BMJ Case Reports
• Locating, accessing or requesting full text articles via the library services 
• Quick quiz (time permitting)
