Aim of the course: 

To increase your confidence in applying critical appraisal skills to published research through a guided discussion of a piece of quantitative research.

Key areas covered in the workshop will include:

  • Using a CASP checklist to identify key aspects of quantitative research
  • Working as a group to discuss and appraise a piece of quantitative research to improve your critical appraisal skills to support evidence based practice


Preparatory work

Please ensure you read the set article prior to attending, using the CASP checklist as a guide.
