Aim of the course: 

To increase your confidence in applying critical appraisal skills to published research through a guided discussion of a piece of quantitative research.

Key areas covered in the workshop will include:

• Using a CASP checklist to identify key aspects of quantitative research
• Working as a group to discuss and appraise a piece of quantitative research to improve your critical appraisal skills to support evidence based practice

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance which can be used in a professional development or re-validation portfolio.
