Event Overview
In a world where the AI industry is developing at a pace unmatched by traditional forms of governance, security and businesses leaders are rightly concerned about the wide range of risks that go hand-in-hand with the promise of greater AI-driven productivity. The speedy adoption of increasingly powerful AI, and the chaotic nature of non-deterministic actions makes traditional governance efforts difficult to execute.
In this webinar, a guest speaker managing AI governance at a global cybersecurity company will offer an overview on the evolution of governance, and how that works (or doesn’t work) with AI. Adopting the right approach, and ensuring the right forms of control and oversight are in place, are the start points.
This short presentation will be followed by a panel session, led by SIA SIG, where some of the key topics around AI governance can be further explored.
Speakers:
Jason Lusted joined Darktrace in December 2025 as the company’s first AI Governance Advisor; working to the Chief AI Officer and helping to maintain both ISO 42001 accreditation, as well as 3rd party assessment of AI systems.
Prior to joining Darktrace, Jason spent 37 years in public service: principally in the Ministry of Defence (UK) and, more recently, the New Zealand government.
Jason draws on a rich background of operational security and risk-based governance.
