2.       Vehicle Dynamics Fundamentals: Kinetic energy relationship, speed reduction effectiveness, vehicle characteristics, discussion point.

3.       Speed Factors: Site geometry, traffic calming measures, chicanes etc.

4.       Methodology: M1, N1 N2 descriptors.  Angle, speed, impact location, vehicle performance assumptions. Vehicle path modelling, calculation tools.

5.       HVM Application: IWA14, ISO 22343. Static bollards, rising arm bollards, road blockers, over specifying mitigation. Topographical limitations.

Jonathan Eddery is a multi-award-winning Chartered Security Professional (CSyP) and member of the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES), with more than 24 years’ experience shaping security strategy, risk management and resilience across aviation, critical national infrastructure, policing, corporate, retail, education and construction sectors. Recognised for his expertise in Aviation Security in Airport Development (ASIAD), Security in the Design of Stations (SIDOS) and security risk management, he supports clients navigating complex security challenges, whilst achieving regulatory compliance and resilient for future-ready environments.

Combining deep technical knowledge with proven strategic leadership, Jonathan holds both Certified Technical Security Professional (CTSP) and Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP) accreditations. He serves as Co-Chair of The Security Institute’s Built Environment Special Interest Group and supports the profession as an assessor for the CSyP application process, helping to develop the next generation of security leaders..
