The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is inviting organisations and professionals who may fall within the scope of Martyn’s Law – the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 – to review and provide feedback on its draft statutory guidance ahead of implementation.
To help you understand what this means for you, the SIA will be hosting a webinar which explains:
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
Martyn’s Law, named in memory of Martyn Hett who tragically lost his life in the Manchester Arena attack, is designed to improve public safety by ensuring venues and events are better prepared to respond to potential terrorist threats.
The SIA's consultation is an important opportunity for organisations to understand how the SIA intends to regulate when Martyn’s Law comes into force - expected in Spring 2027.
The consultation closes at 11:59pm on Friday 12 June 2026. You can respond online on GOV.UK: Martyn's Law: draft section 12 statutory guidance - GOV.UK
