What you need to know

Date: Tuesday 18th March 2025

Time: 10:00 AM -11:00 AM GMT

Venue: Online

Join us to gain valuable insights into the issue of ‘vulnerable employees’ and the role that their organisation can play in managing and resolving both personal and organisational problems arising, in order to help avoid any conscious or unconscious action that may lead to, or be considered an insider risk. A core area of insider risk mitigation will be discussed, namely Insider Risk Practitioner and Stakeholder groups, and the value of consultation between departments will be ‘unpacked’ to consider a model that focuses on employee vulnerability and resolving risks. The role of the HR function and the approaches that can be adopted by it will also be discussed in depth.

We are pleased to introduce Dr David BaMaung , a security consultant with nearly 40 years of experience in law enforcement. With a decade dedicated to counter-terrorism protective security and insider risk mitigation, David has worked with Interpol, Airpol, and OSCE. He was also appointed as a Security Expert for the Manchester Arena Public Inquiry.

Joining him is Irene Mains, Head of Department & Senior Lecturer in HRM/HRD at GCU. With a wealth of experience in HR development and organizational change, Irene specializes in leadership development, coaching, and mentoring. Her academic expertise and research provide valuable insights into how organizations can support employees while mitigating risk.
