Wessex League - London

Registration for Wessex League 2019 London event, hosted by London Historical Fencing Club, to be held at the City of London Academy Southwark on the 12 & 13 of October  2019. The event will include:

• Women's longsword
• Women's single rapier
• Open Longsword
• Open Sword & Buckler
• Open Rapier & Dagger
• Open Sabre

Rules and Equipment: Please ensure you have read the competition rules and equipment requirements before you register. Singe rapier will use the rapier & dagger rules, minus the parts that talk about the dagger.

PLEASE NOTE: due to some issues with the venue's opening times we will not be able to run judging training at this event. Consequently, the tournaments will be starting earlier (10am) on Saturday so please arrive promptly  

Meals and refreshments:

• There will be a social gathering for drinks and dinner after the event
• Refreshments are NOT available on site, but there are shops with a 5 minute walk from the venue

Volunteering:

• If you are able to volunteer all of your time for the weekend you attend free of charge and receive free lunch and drinks, and we will pay for up to £50 of your travel costs.
• If you can volunteer as table or judging staff during periods when you aren't competing, you can claim a rebate of £5 for each shift you cover, payable after the event via PayPal (up to a maximum of 3 shifts).

We will keep a register which will need to be signed by each volunteer and countersigned by a referee in order to qualify for payment.

Cost to attend: 

ONLY volunteering as an official, without participating in any tournaments - FREE of charge. All your refreshments and lunches will be provided.

Attendance and participation in any number of tournaments: £55
