  Learning the Ropes - Solent

The Solent provides the perfect location to conduct our training. This gives us time to ensure that everyone has the core skills and is confidently tacking and gybing, reefing and helming before we set off down the channel.

Famed for its professional sailing, stunning Victorian architecture and vibrant festival atmosphere, Cowes is one of the most popular towns on the Isle of Wight, with plenty of restaurants and bars.

• Friday 21st July 18:00 Meet on yacht settle in to bunks 20:00 Meal at local pub (costs not included)  Saturday 22nd July 0900 Breakfast on-board 10:30 Walk around the yacht & Talk on safety 11:30 Set Sail for a morning in the Solent learning the ropes 13:00 Lunch at anchor 14:00 Set sail more sailing around the Solent learning the sails 17:00 Back in Cowes  Sunday 23rd July 09:00 Set Sail for sail training, planning to talk through and practice a few safety drills like Man Over Board etc.. 12:00 Lunch at anchor 13:00 More sailing practice and getting to know the yacht 15:00 Back in Cowes with time for Q&As
